PAOLO MICHELETTI — SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

// ORIGIN

I wasn't the usually kiddo who knows exactly what he wanted to do in his life, I've always struggle with my curiosity and, thank to that, i could get in touch with many things until I start to discover how sounds works, and luckily I was able to start to follow many Sound Technician in their work, I was 14 and is there that I started want to be a Sound Technician. Then the life goes on an my hobby/work goes too, and I learned that there isn't only the sound to adjust or prepare in a show, there is a lot more. Lights, PA, Pr and everything else to create a wonderful show became my world.

// FORMATION

Well, where I can start? Oh yeah, probably I have to tell you that I have a BA in "New Media and Communication" and a PGDip in "Web Communication: User Experience / SEO / Multimedia" made at IED Firenze.

When I started my BA I just want to learn about Cinema, Theatre and Music, but DI.S.CO gave me a new way to look all of what I were doing and taught me that I want and I need to Communicate Emotions.

From there I extended my path, then I started to care the Communication of the Shows I worked on, I started to explore new way of communicate and things like Video, Spot, Social Media and Publicity entered in my world.

// PIVOT

Late 2019 I was working very hard for making more and more shows, we (me and my work buddies) were preparing a lot of big stuff, and we were super excited for 2020…Everyone knows what's happened next, yeh?

But ehyyy, life goes on and you need go on too. And what's bring me to a new path in my stopped world was programming, I had a lot of free time so I've started some Udemy course on HTML, CSS and Web Developing until I found Start2Impact, an new Italian way of studying, and with them I'm running on this new path, the path to became a Full Stack Developer, changing once again my world.

// NOW

That path led me straight to Hastega — a software house that took a chance on me as a junior developer and gave me something I didn't even know I was looking for: a real place to grow.

I started working on Angular as a frontend developer, getting my hands dirty every day, learning what it actually means to build things in a professional environment. It felt like the beginning of something big. Spoiler: it was.

// GROWTH

Hastega didn't let me get comfortable for long. Challenge after challenge, I found myself jumping between TypeScript frameworks, Spring Boot, legacy systems that shouldn't exist but somehow do — WildFly, Keycloak, you name it — DevOps pipelines on GitLab, Azure and GCP, and Flutter every now and then just to keep things spicy.

Every time I thought I had a handle on things, something new came up. And every time, I came out stronger. Looking back, I think they tricked me into actually becoming a Full Stack Developer. I'm not complaining.

// RETHINKING_WEB3

While all of this was happening, I was also deep into my Web3 and blockchain journey — studying it, building projects with it, genuinely believing it was the future. I went all in.

Then, slowly, reality started talking. The more I dug, the more it became clear: 99% of that world is just noise. The market proved it, the technology proved it. Most of it simply doesn't hold up.

But at the bottom of that rabbit hole I found something that does: Bitcoin. And I mean Bitcoin — not 'crypto', because they are absolutely not the same thing. An antifragile, decentralized, censorship-resistant tool with real and measurable impact. Worth every hour I spent getting there.

// MACHINES

On the technical side, I've been going deep into AI systems — tearing apart LLMs, trying to build some of my own, and experimenting with agentic frameworks like LangChain to understand how all of this actually works under the hood.

The goal is simple: learn to use these tools at their best, work smarter, and stay ahead of where things are going. It's endlessly fascinating and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

// STILL_ME

And through all of this — the code, the challenges, the rabbit holes — I never let go of my communication roots. next5000days was one of the first projects I brought into Hastega, and it found a home there. Then came Codenauts and Siidro, which I keep nurturing constantly.

Somewhere along the way, Hastega also noticed I talk a lot and think fast. So, part by instinct and part by choice, I started carving out a path that looks a lot like Growth Engineering. It's still a work in progress. Let's see where it goes.
